About www Redirect Checker

Free 301 redirect checker and URL redirect checker. Let's start with the basics, Redirection is the process of forwarding one URL to another URL, in which we divert users as well as google crawler to different URLs instead of forwarding the user to the same requested URL. We mainly use 301, 302, and meta refresh redirects.

Most commonly used types of redirects used in SEO :

301 - Permanent Redirect

We use 301 redirects to the URLs when the directed landing page has been deleted or no more exists on the site. So we redirect that URL to another URL which is pointing to some other related page to improve user experience. A permanent redirect is better than temporary redirects. So we use 301 HTTP status code which defines permanent redirects and it is the best method for implementing redirects on a blog.

302 - Temporary Redirects

302 HTTP status code refers that the redirection is temporary once the landing page is added we can again direct that URL to the same page. But the safest way to ensure the google search engine and other search engines give credit to permanent redirect so it will be more beneficial to use 301 redirects instead of 302 redirects.

Does the redirect affect SEO Ranking?

Since It is common practice to redirect one URL to another in SEO, so if we put the correct type of redirection in the right place then it's not going to affect SEO ranking but bad implementation may affect your page ranking to domain ranking to loss of traffic. But redirection is a must if you are doing any kind of changes in your URLs direction.
